What do you eat for breakfast if you’re in a rush?
…for work, because my work clothes have become annoyingly big on me. Not like, HUGE, but enough to where I had to buy a belt to keep my pants up, and people were telling me my pants looked big on me and stuff.
I was half excited and half nervous because, sure I was losing weight, but just maybe I hadn’t lost enough weight to fit into a size down, and that would be so depressing.
Guess what??
I dropped a size! In two months, I dropped a pant size and it feels a-freaking-mazing.

I think it is important to feel like a badass before a workout. My braid mustache helps tremendously.
I don’t regret splurging on tools that will make me a healthier me. It’s a ten dollar water bottle but doesn’t it make drinking water so sexy? (Also, isn’t my desk super cute?)
One thing I started doing was consistently eating (or, in my case, drinking) breakfast. Back in the day, I used to make really delicious smoothies with scoops of peanut butter. But then, I decided to cut down on the satty-fatties and came up with this beauty:

I call it the… *drumroll*…
Bananas And Stuff Breakfast Smoothie
1 large banana
4 strawberries
1 serving of your favorite non-fat Greek yogurt (I like Stonyfield Black Cherry!)
3 large cubes of ice
1 cup uncooked oatmeal (is it okay to eat uncooked oatmeal? o.O)
1 cup fat free milk (more or less to make it the consistency you prefer)
Throw it all in the blender, crush the ice and then liquefy! The one above has a couple raspberries just to make it look fancy for the picture, but you can really add whatever you want. If you blend raspberries in it, it gives it a tartness I don’t really care for, so I tend to leave them out.

Honestly, I don’t know where or how to start. I feel weird about starting a blog because I’m usually a reserved person. And, the intention of this blog would be to talk about an issue I’ve had my entire life.
So, here goes…
I need to lose about 85 pounds.
I want to lose about 85 pounds and I’ve already lost about 16 of those suckers.
I decided I wasn’t messing around anymore and got super serious December 1st, 2011. I started running. I eat less beef, pork, sugars, and fried crap. I eat more fish, veggies and drink a TON of water. And every Wednesday since, I’ve weighed myself. My weekly weight loss averages around 2 pounds. (But then I went to Austin for a weekend and gained like *cough* 4 pounds! *cough*)
Since then, though, I am 16 pounds lighter. People notice, so that’s kinda cool. I feel much more energetic, I look forward to working out, and I love shopping for workout clothes. It is such an awesome feeling.
So, I want to share my experiences on this journey to get fit to help people struggling with the same problem, and this just seems like the perfect way to do it.
